   Received the hood promptly with all advertised parts and very well packaged. The only item not provided was the 6" vent hood that goes through the wall for outdoor venting. There was no damage and all the pieces were covered with protective plastic. Installation was very straightforward and not complicated. The only tricky part was cutting the 6 inch hole through the wall and running electricity to it. The photo shows the hood installed and operational on low with the lights on. The front lighting is nicer that those having it in the rear in my opinion. The venting works quite well. When you turn the hood on low, it automatically comes on high and then drops down to low. This is important because it ensures the exhaust vent louvers are pushed open for proper venting in the medium and low mode. For someone like me, this was an easy installation but I can see where it would be a bit intimidating for someone not familiar with or having some home improvement skills. I did add a bit of 1/4" thick self-adhesive felt padding on the backside where it touches the wall to dampen any vibrations and noise. This also allows just a bit of airflow directly behind the vent. I also drilled two additional screw holes on the inside bottom to firmly attach it to two studs for added strength and stability but this probably is just me and not essential or necessary. Installation instructions were OK but not something to write home about. All in all, I would recommend this hood and it is very nice for the price.

   I used this hood in our kitchen remodeling project. I added 1/4" beadboard to the outside to match the doors and it turned out better looking than the $1000 wooden units. It has very good suction power and vents all of the smoke and fumes away from the kitchen. Noise level is acceptable.

   Hood came very well packaged, the blue film protector is lots of "fun" to remove.
   Great product, not too loud, works well and simple enough to install though it got tricky for me to get the top chimney piece on right .
   Looks great in our updated kitchen
   Also, have the duct tape ready, it doesn't come with.

   Range hood feels very well built and has serious suction power when on high. Low level still gives decent airflow without being too loud. Install was pretty easy, however planning out my electrical was a pain as the instructions don’t give any insight as to how this should be done. Essentially, your outlet for the electrical is hidden behind the shroud that hides your flexible duct. The challenge is that there is very little room. Once I bought a flat wall adapter for my outlet so the cord could plug in at 90 degrees instead of sticking straight out and interfering with my duct, my problem was solved. Also, don’t use the cheap wall anchors that are provided. Get some quality ones from your local hardware store. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

   I saw this hood, or one like it, in Home Depot but for 2x the cost. I took a chance on ordering this one online and I am glad I did. It was shipped very securely without any dents, scratches, etc. The instructions were easy to follow. And it looks and works great. I ordered the charcoal filters separately that you can get here on Amazon for around $16 for both. One issue I had was that it does not seem possible to install the upper chimney directly against the ceiling, but you can install it an inch or so below the ceiling. It wasn't an issue for me, but something to consider. I am glad I purchased this, it wa a great price and looks great. I get lots of compliments on it.
